Mediocre Notions

Her hair
    brown, just brown
        swings upon her shoulders
            around that pale white face

    average, so average
        but is she really?

            see those auburn strands
                             among the brown
                                       the hint of amber
                                                     within her eyes
            but then again
                         perhaps
                               only
                                   i
                         see such things

           even so
                  there are times
                                i wish
                             average
                                    were all
                                              i
                                           were
          but then again
                           only
                               i
                             see
                    auburn & amber
                                         in
